Sam Heaps is the author of the novella The Living god (SARKA 2025) and the essay collections Proximity (Clash 2023) and Enlarging Grasps of Disorder (Future Tense 2026). Their work has been featured places such as The Brooklyn Rail, Bomb Magazine, Bright Wall / Dark Room, Brink Magazine, among many others.

Heaps was raised in Idaho but has lived and worked all over the world. They teach writing at Temple University, and study philosophy at NYU.
