Sam Heaps is the author of the memoir Proximity (Clash 2023) the novella The Living god (SARKA 2025) and the essay collection Enlarging Grasps of Disorder (FutureTense 2026). Heaps was raised in North Idaho but has lived and worked all over the world. They teach writing at Temple University, and study philosophy at NYU.
